Peggy Sullivan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State and Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified hypnotherapist using ethical Ericksonian techniques. Last Fall, Sullivan returned to Washington State after a year long sabbatical in Fairfield, Iowa, where she continued her couples and individual counseling practice , taught classes, led retreats, and spent a portion of her day in group meditation at Maharishi University. Her "cup is full" as she recommends for her clients and she is pleased to be in Bellingham where she lives close to both her children. She is continuing her private practice in the Terminal Building in Historic Fairhaven, still offering the wealth of experience from 16 years as Court Services Manager and professional guardian ad litem for Okanogan County Juvenile and Family Services. Her overall perspective is for holistic, supportive, self discovery. Relationship intelligence coaching is a supportive approach that helps couples enhance their relationships by reframing, creating room for accommodation, identifying unmet needs, practicing better listening skills, and rediscovering past attractions. Peggy uses a variety of therapeutic tools to work with individuals to provide advocacy, empowerment, and to uncover and support individual strengths. Sullivan has been a speaker at national, state and local levels on subjects including advanced verbal and written communication skills, advocacy, stress reduction and family evaluations. In her book, Love Prescription: Twelve Secrets of Happily Ever After Couples,Peggy reveals secrets, pulled from professional and personal experience, to support an enduring relationship; one that survives and grows stronger through the bumps and hollows of life's journey together. With caring concern and a touch of humor, she gives practical examples from a holistic viewpoint to enhance the health, wholeness, and happiness of every committed relationship, no matter the age or stage in life. From talk to touch, money to sex, successful competition to respect for gender differences, and powerful listening techniques, Sullivan describes relationship skills and lifestyle changes that open the door to the desired life of happily ever after. |
