Peggy Sullivan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Hypnotherapist using ethical Ericksonian techniques. Her private practice is located at 1101 Harris Avenue, Suite 21, in the Terminal Building in Historic Fairhaven.
Sullivan's wealth of experience and training, from 16 years as Court Services Manager and professional guardian ad litem for Okanogan County Juvenile and Family Services, provides the platform for work with divorcing couples, employment issues, family struggles, communication skills, anger management, recovery support, adoption issues, and interpersonal skill building. Sullivan assisted hundreds of couples to write residential schedules for their children, mediating successful parenting plans. She taught the court required "Divorce and Your Child" classes. As a supervisor, she had extensive training and use of management skills. She provided and facilitated hundreds of hours of training for staff and volunteers on subjects including defensive communication, report writing, stress reduction, family evaluations, and children's best interests. She has been a faculty speaker for State and National CASA Conferences. In her work, she facilitated adoption reunification, strategies for truancy, and developed recommendations for families at risk. She testified in court as an expert witness, a child and adolescent specialist, having represented the best interests of over 400 children.
Her overall perspective is for holistic, supportive, self discovery. She provides a variety of tools and techniques that are designed to promote self empowerment and growth. Relationship Intelligence Coaching is one supportive approach that helps couples enhance their relationships by reframing issues to create new perspectives, using conflict resolution styles for positive results, identifying unmet needs, rediscovering past attractions, and practicing advanced listening and communication skills. Peggy offers individualized anger management training, based on an adult version of a research proven intervention for juveniles. Clients may learn essential communication skills from Peggy's own curriculum. She uses Change Theory for helping clients make major behavior or lifestyle changes. Peggy uses approaches to fit each unique individual respectfully as she gently challenges, assists growth, identifies goals and attainable steps for success in achieving those goals. All clients are encouraged to uncover and use their individual strengths.

Newly published is her first Children's Book: Midnight and Moonlight, Authorhouse, 2015 about a black cat and a white cat who are very different. In the end, those differences don't matter because of their friendship.
